A glad day to you, Sunrose! I hope this year make you as happy and bring you peace, joy and abundantly blessed days. I thought I'd like to share some new year lines from Esther Baldwin York (which I truly like!): It depends on us ... another year lies before us like an unwritten page, an unspent coin, an unwalked road. The pages will read, what treasures will be gained in exhange for time, or what we find along the way, will largely depend on us. How very inspiring! Love it. Wishes and kisses, cheers and hugs from Autumn

Hi Sunrose, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for the nudge to do the weight loss challenge! Unfortunately I'm too late to do it - officially anyway. I'm in sunny Florida for the holidays, and just checked my email for the first time today. I know you can do it! and I'm with you on this, but I'll be starting Jan. 2nd. - I know, I know - I should not put off to tomorrow what I can do today! :)ABMe

A diamond cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials. Every diamond does not shine alike. Some cannot shine because they have never been cut. The brilliancy of the light depends largely upon the character of it's facets. A friend wrote this in my Bible

Hi again. I thought you might enjoy helping with a "name that plant" photo album at http://tec4th.spaces.live.com/ My camera finally returned to Meadowvale Trials...very happy with auto features of Olympus Stylus790SW camera. Please wish me luck, I have a 2nd technical inerview on Tuesday...a reach but I have had a week to reprogram myself to focus on quality assurance of assembly of computer controlled test instrumentation, not machine shop parts. Thanks again, GT

Thanks for being here and for your kind words! You rock!

I am going through a mid-life challenge. I need to lose weight, find something to create income, and learn more about how to find balance.

all questions»

Can a person be hurt by too much education?  My example: In high School I went to Voc-Tec for Ornamental Horticulture and I worked 3 years at a large greenhouse. I left on good terms . I was getting married and moving away, but they gave me a nice letter of recommendation. Then I ran into the wall as far as jobs in my new area.    I tried to get a job at a greenhouse. I filled out the application and didn't hear anything.  A week later I called them to follow up,and they said I was over qualified and they just wanted to have someone to water the plants do odd jobs around the greenhouse. I told them I would be happy to do that kind of work and just wanted to get whatever pay they gave for that kind of work.  So I  was thinking that now that a few years have past should I dumb down what I know when I apply. On a side note...I went there to buy plants and talked to the girl that did get hired there. She said she knew nothing about plants and couldn't answer a simple question about a new plants they had for sale. ( I didn't ask, she just blurt it out!) So my question is can you know too much?

Most popular answers

says: they should be happy and grateful that you applied. i don't get it. :(

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
I need to get out of the rut my life has been in.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
I am not so sure I want a "Job". I want to make an income from doing what I like.
My favorite wild animal is:
 Ram
Why (describe as much as possible):
I like how they can stand on the side of a mountain on the smallest of ledges.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
a fish. I take care of gold fish in my pond and in my fish tanks.
Why:
They are easy to take care of and I like how they look when they swim. I makes me calm when I watch them.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
 Roast Beef
Why:
It's not something I make just for me.
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
 A beach.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
Thin crust with chicken and fresh tomatoes.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
 I dislike bars.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
I like all kinds of coffee. I match the coffee to my mood that day. I always like it with cream.
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams", and two CD'S that I would burn for the trip. If it's a slow trip, slow music, fast driving would need fast up-beat music.
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
Make a friend. Plant some flowers.
A sunset I remember:
I love to watch the sun set over the ocean. I enjoy it every time. I live in a land locked state, so I love it when I see an ocean sunset.
